"Forlorn Adia" by Robert E. Harney
Virtually everyone, no matter how horribly misguided they may be, believes that the way they conduct their life is the right way, the best way, and wholly consistent with the way they see the world.
Pardon him; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
George Bernard Shaw
Therefore, do not take every transgression so personally; the way someone treats you says far less about you than it does about them.
If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man’s life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Even though the act that needs forgiving involved you, it often is not about you. You were simply an obstacle in the way or a convenient vehicle used in the self-absorbed pursuit of a self-centered desire. If it had not been you, it would have been whoever else happened to be in front of them.
How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.
Wayne Dyer

the other aspect of this is that one has to remember that everyone has feelings. When we deal with companies for example, while we know that the company itself is an inanimate entity, it is being fronted by real people like you and me, that is, with feelings too. Even if it is their job to not take it personally, if you treat them nicely, they WILL take it personally.

You’re absolutely right, ArrVee. Too many people take out their frustrations with a company on its employees.

I cannot agree more. I believe all relationships cannot be repaired. Some people have such a strong pain body that their need to have someone they could keep cursing is much more than their need for a healthy relationship.

Yes, Anil, dysfunction can get awfully convoluted, can’t it?
