Akiane displays her self-portrait to Oprah
Akiane was four years old when she began describing her visits to Heaven to her mother, who was an atheist at the time and had never discussed religion with her daughter.
At six, Akiane began painting her visions. It appears that this self-taught painting phenom has a direct pipeline to divine inspiration!

"The Prince of Peace" painted by Akiane at the age of . . . wait for it . . . eight!

"Evening Swan" painted by Akiane at age nine

"Trust" painted by Akiane at age eleven

"Family" painted by Akiane at age eleven

"Search for Truth" painted by Akiane at age twelve

those paintings have so much depth and expression that she must have seen them not just with her mind’s eye, but more so with her soul, and the essence of these experiences inevitably surface as she renders them in 2-dimensional form. Her music will express them in other dimensions helpful to us, but all these should be a hint to us that our physical senses in this world are woefully inadequate for capturing, expressing or even imagining what waits for us in the next world.
What lets us make that leap is Faith, not just with what she is trying to express, but with Him who gave her a glimpse into His world, and the gift He gave her to express it for the rest of us.

Well said, ArrVee. The notion of an eight-year-old being able to paint with such skill and such soul is clear evidence that there is a force at work beyond what our physical senses can detect. How else can such talent be explained? It can’t, not in rational terms.

in that last painting, “Search For Truth”, she shows what must represent our technological and scientific search for truth, with the astronaut and the pictures taken by the Hubble space telescope. My take-away from all these being summarized and represented in one small rectangle of a canvas, is that all these efforts to search for the truth are futile, because the Truth lies Elsewhere, beyond this physical world.
her other paintings however, hint at where the Truth lies.

Agreed, Arrve. I like how this quote puts it:
One can search the brain with a microscope and not find the mind, and can search the stars with a telescope and not find God.

hi Phil!
thank u so much for sharing Akiane’s story. She is such an amazing child. I’m reading more about her now. God reveals himself in mysterious ways. God is continually showing us how much He loves us all. Akiane is God’s instrument to remind us that He is real and that He loves us. We see God through the eyes of a child.

You’re very welcome, nequi! If this is not evidence of God working through a human being, I don’t know what is.

This is incredible! God was speaking to this girl in a way i just cannot understand…I know she was sent for her mother, and for the rest of the world because I know plenty of people that need to hear this. She is amazing and I’m only fifteen and I love painting and expressing my creativity but the way she captures and portrays exactly what she’s picturing…very few people can do that. Thank you so much for the post!

You’re very welcome, Danielle! Keep on painting and expressing yourself. You clearly have great insight and understanding for someone so young!

Dear Akiane, I pray you read this, I once had the same visit to Heaven, It was beautiful- more beautiful than man will ever know! The colors are as you said, many we have never seen- so gorgeous- it is beyond description! I met alot of people there who i was told was my family. Much was said to me by my Angel. My experience left me without doubt God is here and so are the Angels and our family is much bigger than we know. I pray you contact me if you can. Your work is a gift from God, I pray you continue for God on his path, let no one influence you to anything else. May God bless you always, Laurie

I’ve read of children that remember being in heaven before they were even born here. Usually around the ages of 3 & 4 they talk about this then forget as they get older. Only a few remember. Then I searched the bible to see if there was anything referencing this. I was surprised to find several.
One in particular stood out. It was in Jeremiah:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”
I’m thinking we all come from heaven first. Going back the same way we came is spiritually up to us. Earth must be a small extension of a far larger universal school.

I like the way you think, Mary!
