You Are the Journey’s End

Think of yourself as a radio trying to tune in to higher spiritual frequencies. Keeping yourself plugged into the divine current deepens and enriches your understanding of how the universe operates. As your attunement with the divine current grows ever stronger, so too does your yearning for God.

There is a God-shaped vacuum in every heart.
Blaise Pascal

Surrender to this longing. Let it consume you. Live your life so that everything you think, say, and do brings you ever nearer to God.

Do not seek illumination unless you seek it as a man whose hair is on fire seeks a pond.
Sri Ramakrishna

Every day in which you joyously dive into the ocean of divine love rewards you with one more day of experiencing the ever-new joy of heaven on earth.

The days come and go like muffled and veiled figures sent from a distant friendly party, but they say nothing, and if we do not use the gifts they bring, they carry them as silently away.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Do not for a moment think you are not worthy of the journey. No longer is the goal of self-realization the exclusive province of robed renunciates in secluded monasteries. From time immemorial, it was believed that many are called but few are chosen. All, in fact, are called.

All know the way, few actually walk it.
Bodhidharma

Will you choose to respond to that call with the limited logic of your mind or the limitless love in your heart?

Reason’s last step is the recognition that there are an infinite number of things which are beyond it.
Blaise Pascal

Ultimately, the path to enlightenment circles back to you. You are not only the seeker on the journey, you are the journey itself as well as the journey’s end.

The path that you follow is not about going somewhere, but about coming back to you. Over and over again. Only this time, you are awake to who that is and the life you are living.
Angel Kyodo Williams

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.

Order it at GodIsLogical.com.

In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.

sixty-seconds-coverPhil is also the author of Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything, a collection of 45 inspiring, life-changing stories from prominent authors and thought leaders he interviewed. The roster of storytellers includes Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Larry Dossey, Rachel Naomi Remen, Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Christiane Northrup. Sixty Seconds has been translated into four languages: Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Reading this book is like spending a few minutes face to face with each of the contributors and listening to their personal stories.

  1. ArrVee Says:

we are each a unique expression of God’s love, materialized in this physical world, and endowed with the immeasurably precious gifts of our soul and free will.

buried deep in our spiritual DNA, are spiritual genes that bind us back to our Maker, and make us reason out that there is something Infinite out there where our destiny lies, and that we would have justified our existence if we of free will choose to seek Him out who made us.

  2. Phil Bolsta Says:

Agreed, ArrVee. All we need do is begin the journey back to Source. That’s when life changes for the better.

  3. mel Says:

This post reminds me of my philosophy in life – “One must feel one’s own ecstasy to learn the true meaning of existence, for it is different in each individual”.

  4. Phil Bolsta Says:

Quite right, mel. The mistake many people make is to assume that what works for them, what makes them feel like they’ve come home, whether it’s diet or religion or taste in movies or whatever, will have the same effect on everyone else. It doesn’t work that way.
