Moments after National Geographic photographer Paul Nicklen slipped into the 29-degree waters of the Arctic Ocean, his head was in the massive maw of a twelve-foot-long, thousand-pound leopard seal. Not exactly love at first sight. But Paul did indeed fall in love with this penguin-eating predator.
