AUTUMN EQUINOX UPDATE
Happy Autumn Equinox. The Autumn Equinox arrived on September 22. The change of season is a potent time to pray and visualize what you would like to create in the coming season. The changing angle of the sun imparts even greater power than usual to your thoughts, affirmations, visualizations, and prayers.
The coming season features a potent alignment between electronically-charged Uranus in Aries and profound and penetrating Pluto in Capricorn. Far-reaching social change always accompanies the tsunami-like magnetic pull of Uranus and Pluto. People born under the signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn will most directly feel the need to make positive changes in their lives under the influence of these two revolutionary planets.
The magnetic emanations of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn began on June 24, 2012, and will continue until March 17, 2015. Celestial peaks arrive on September 18, 2012, May 20, 2013, November 1, 2013, April 21, 2014, December 14, 2014, and March 17, 2015 (due to the retrograde motion of both planets). The co-mingling of these two planetary energies portends revolutionary social, technological, and economic progress. Each subsequent alignment in the series of seven will more deeply root the
evolutionary changes in our collective consciousness. A similar celestial combination last occurred five times in 1932-34 and three times in 1965-66.
It is easy to see how technology has already radically changed the way we live our lives and relate to each other. During the ongoing alignment of Uranus and Pluto, we will learn more about our infinite connections with all humanity. Tools such as the iPhone, Android, Google, and Skype, to name a few, are simply the vehicle through which a higher intelligence is showing us the thin boundary between each and every one of us. We also will continue to learn about the intimate connection between our thoughts and prayers and the natural world around us through climate change and, unfortunately, through continuing natural disasters.
To become more universal in our awareness, some people must also withdraw into themselves to prepare to merge with the greater whole. That is why people can seem so self-absorbed at times, especially when they become enmeshed in their high-tech communications devices. It is also why so many more souls are incarnating on what is known as the “autism spectrum.” Despite scientific studies attributing the increase in autism to vaccines and the age of fathers, the autistic personality is a choice by many souls as a necessary step of growth toward more universal consciousness—a consolidation of individuality through isolation to strengthen the soul before it merges with something greater.
In the meantime, expect more polarization as the process of unity progresses. We are experiencing a “cloverleaf phenomenon” in that we appear to be moving backward—as it appears when you exit the freeway and actually go in the “wrong” direction—before circling around to proceed on a better path. The backward movement is a necessary detour before going forward to a higher level. Indeed, we are collectively going through a very important stage of transition—and evolution to a higher state of awareness—despite appearances to the contrary.
You may also feel an upswing in nervousness or anxiety in yourself and others during the period from June 2012 to March 2015. This is a natural reaction to the accelerated rate of change on the planet—and ensuing feelings of disorientation as you absorb each higher wave of consciousness. Imagine the waves of energy infiltrating our planetary atmosphere as waves in the ocean. As each wave strikes you, you are turned upside down, and restored just about—but not completely—upright after each successive hit. You might be a bit tired, disoriented, or lacking trust in the process after each wave. You may even try to get back to shore despite a strong undertow pulling you out to sea.
Gradually, as you become accustomed to the waves, you will let go of your expectations and yearning to be back on the known and unmoving shore—and you will learn to surf—with whatever means at your disposal. So, view all extraordinary events, challenges, and disruptions as lessons in the art of surfing life. You will develop stronger muscles, discover a stronger core in yourself, and become quite comfortable and proficient at negotiating each undulation of the cosmic sea.
Also, please remember to take extra precautions during the eclipses of November 13 and November 28. Weather disruptions and changes of plan are most common during the eclipses. Fortunate chance encounters also are more common under their influence. Situations that will have a great impact upon you often occur at the time of the eclipses—starting two weeks before, and continuing two weeks after; in this case, from October 30 to December 12. The people and events that come into your life under the eclipses will leave a deep impression. But these people and situations are not meant to stay beyond six months, so please don’t try to hold on to what is meant to melt away. Simply allow the positive inspiration of each chance encounter or seeming detour to flow through you under the eclipses’ influence.

YOUR PERSONAL ASTROLOGICAL STRATEGIES
FOR THE AUTUMN SEASON
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
Tensions may run high in yourself and the people around you due to the influence of Uranus in Aries. Revolutionary Uranus forms a square angle in the heavens to volcanic and transformative Pluto until 2015. As a result, you may experience a greater than average amount of change. This period of your life brings an opportunity for great advancement. Practice deep breathing, even-mindedness, and feel the calmness you can create – even if you are in the midst of tremendous upheaval or uncertainty. The Autumn Equinox on September 22 will give you the opportunity to see a situation from another person’s point of view. This perspective will give you solutions you previously overlooked. You will be called to focus on a financial situation when Saturn moves into Scorpio on October 5, the first time the karmic planet has been in Scorpio since 1985. You will begin to separate true necessities from superfluous material desires in allocating your budget. Try to focus your energetic and financial resources on what is truly essential. You will be most successful if you focus on one thing at a time. A solar eclipse in Scorpio on November 13 may disrupt your budgetary plans, but all will return to normal by December 13, after the eclipse cycle is complete. Uranus in Aries also changes direction in the sky on December 13. This celestial movement will create greater forward progress in your life.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
You will return to your accustomed routines when the Sun enters the Venus-ruled sign of Libra on September 22. You may have felt a bit disorganized under the retrograde of Venus, your planetary ruler, in May and June. But under this earlier influence, you gathered important information that you need to move successfully into the future. Now is the time to implement the benefit of your new awareness with a sophisticated strategy that encompasses wisdom gained from past experiences. If you are tempted to move in many directions at once, focus on one important direction at a time, and stick to it until completion. In order to accomplish what is necessary, you will be prompted to let go of unnecessary plans. The movement of karmic Saturn into your opposing sign of Scorpio from October 5, 2012 to September 17, 2015, will give you a chance to focus on relationships that are most important to you. You probably have several people in your life who distract you from your higher goals. These people are not intentionally derailing you. They simply cannot attune to the higher side of your nature. Gently maintain an appropriate distance so you may achieve your highest aims. You will experience circumstances that remind you of your soul under the influence of the New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on November 13th. You will benefit by sharing your material prosperity – however large or small – with someone less fortunate under the influence of the Full Moon Eclipse of November 28. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio and Sagittarius from November 6 to 26 will help you connect with people from your past. You will get a sense of clarity and resolution from these contacts.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 21)
You are in an expansive period of your life, where many people will listen to your ideas under the positive influence of lucky Jupiter in Gemini until June 2013. Refine your message and focus on the needs of your audience so they will derive the greatest benefit from your ideas. You have gathered much information throughout your life because you are so open to new concepts and a variety of life experiences. You are ready to translate these experiences from information to wisdom. Take a break from outer activity to breathe in and contemplate your life as a journey. This will give you wisdom to impart to others. You derive much joy from sharing. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio and Sagittarius from November 6th – 26th will enable you to see a situation you are embroiled in from the opposite perspective from which you have been seeing it. This will be a revolutionary experience that will enable you to make a 180-degree turn in your life – and will enable you to impart even more wisdom to others. Think about something you would like to do in the opposite way from which you have been doing it. For example, if you eat a lot of sweets, you may consider adopting a more protein-based diet. If you are a night person, you may awaken earlier in the morning. Or, if you are always “crabby,” consider becoming just the opposite! Whatever it is that you would like to change, this is the time to consider alternatives. The movement of karmic Saturn into Scorpio from October 5, 2012 to September 17, 2015, will give you an opportunity to streamline your dietary regimen.
CANCER (June 22 – July 22)
You will happily care for your home and family under the loving influence of the Full Moons on September 29 (also the Harvest Moon, when the Moon appears to rise most closely to the earth), and on October 29, November 28, and December 28th. Enjoy your harmonious interactions with others under these celestial influences. The Full Moons also are good times to make positive changes to your home environment. The square of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn will bring you new insights about how to integrate your need for home and family with your professional goals. A Solar Eclipse on November 13 will awaken your creativity and enable you to see a child you love in a new light. The Lunar Eclipse on November 28th will bring you new insights if you listen to your dreams. Your diet will have a greater than usual impact upon your mood and outlook from mid-November to mid-December. So pay attention to what you are ingesting – and how it affects you. Conservative decisions you have made in the past will bear fruit under the influence of karmic Saturn in Scorpio from October 5, 2012 to September 17, 2015. Continue to prepare for unexpected outcomes. Your advance preparations will pay off. Your plans should reflect the old adage: Expect the best, but prepare for the worst. Mars in your opposing sign of Capricorn from November 16th to December 25th, 2012, will give you abundant energy. This celestial transit also will attract people to you who can support your positive ambitions.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
A new solar cycle began on your recent birthday, giving you the impetus to begin a new chapter in your life. The 6 weeks after your birthday are energized by the Sun and are a good time to take action to initiate your personal goals. Think about what you would like to experience in the coming year and take one step every day toward the goal you would like to achieve. You will have considerable celestial support for your positive plans while Venus is in Leo from September 6 to October 2. Mars in the compatible fire sign of Sagittarius from October 6th to November 16th will boost your creativity, support your travel plans, and enhance your relationships with people from foreign countries. This is a good time to learn about people who are different from yourself. You are poised to be at the center of attention of a group of people who are important to you. Karmic Saturn in Scorpio beginning October 5 will prompt you to choose a place where you would like to put down roots. You could choose a new city, a new home, or a new corner of an existing bedroom or office where you would like to turn over a new leaf and start a new chapter of your life. Let go of those things you no longer need so you may have a fresh start. Two eclipses in November will help you take a new approach in an important family relationship. Try a new form of behavior and observe the results. You’ll be surprised at how a small change will bring positive results. It is up to you to set the best example.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
You may have felt frustrated during the early summer if the people and events around you did not meet your high standards. Your senses will be pleased by what comes your way while the Sun is in Virgo until September 22 and while Venus is in Virgo from October 2 to 28. Under these positive celestial influences, you will feel your life come back into its accustomed rhythm and into alignment with your highest aspirations. A rare line-up of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn on September 18th will bring you rare luck from an unexpected source. Pray and meditate to be most receptive. Karmic Saturn in Scorpio beginning October 5, for the first time since 1985, will give you a chance to straighten out scrambled communication with a neighbor or sibling. A small misunderstanding may have caused a wide gulf to develop. This is the time to narrow the divide and realize you both have been on the same side of the fence all along. Your planetary ruler, Mercury, will be retrograde in Scorpio and Sagittarius from November 6 to November 26. This is an opportunity to revisit an unresolved dilemma from late 2011. Discover what was left undone – and do it in a better way. Mars in the compatible earth sign of Capricorn from November 16 to December 25 will help you accomplish your outstanding goals with ease.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 23)
The Sun enters Libra at the Autumn Equinox on September 22nd, when the light of day and dark of night are equal. The Sun-Earth equipoise will restore your sense of peace and harmony. This is a good time to solidify your financial foundation through realistic plans and budgets. You are on track to meet your goals at this time. Mercury in Libra from September 16 to October 6 and Venus in Libra from September 28 to October 21 will bring further peace and harmony to your relationships. The passage of karmic Saturn from Libra to Scorpio on October 5 will relieve a sense of pressure you have felt since Saturn entered Libra in July 2010. A series of eclipses in November will lead you to believe someone you shouldn’t believe. Be aware of potential deception during this period. You will regain your equilibrium within 2 weeks if untoward event does occur. Align yourself with your higher nature, and trust your instincts as well. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio and Sagittarius from November 6 to 26 will help you re-configure your finances in a way that will serve you best. You are learning many important lessons about seeing things as they are rather than as you hope them to be.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 21)
Your energy will hit a peak as action-oriented Mars passes through Scorpio from August 23 to October 6 and the Sun traverses the constellation of Scorpio from October 22 to November 21. Strategically plan all you would like to accomplish during the coming year because you will be able to set the stage for positive achievements under this celestial influence. The nodal axis of the Moon aligns with Scorpio – for the first time in 19 years – from August 31, 2012 to February 19, 2014. This alignment will bring fortunate people into your life who will guide you along your destined path. Make sure you collaborate with them to engender the results that will help you draw closer to manifesting your life’s destiny. Pay attention to chance meetings. Good fortune is coming your way. Karmic Saturn moves into Scorpio on October 5, 2012 – for the first time since 1985. Think back to 1985 so you may best plan for the next two years. Saturn brings rewards for past efforts and teaches self-discipline where improvements are needed. Saturn enters Scorpio every 29-1/2 years. Saturn will be in Scorpio until September 17, 2015. This is a favorable time to clean house and create a stable foundation for the next 29-1/2 years of your life. A New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on November 13th will give you a chance for a new start. A Full Moon Eclipse on November 28th will help you streamline your finances. As you give more to others, you open a channel for more to flow back to you!
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
<span style="font-weight:normal;"A square angle between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn on September 18 will continue to influence you throughout the year and will help you put your financial resources to creative use. Your altruistic decisions will improve your reputation and raise your standing in your community. You will get in touch with a powerful part of yourself when you assume greater responsibility for both yourself and the people around you. You are a fair and open-minded leader of groups large and small. Many individuals will follow your sage counsel. Make sure your audience is receptive before you take the reins and guide others. You will recognize who are your people (those you are aligned with), and those with whom your message is not aligned. Those who are ready will warmly welcome you. Those who are not ready will quickly put up walls. Karmic Saturn moves into Scorpio on October 5, for the first time since 1985. You will have an eerie sense of meeting people you have known in past lives under this influence. If someone feels familiar, assume you have known the person before. If you feel an unexplainable love, this is probably someone you have loved in the past. Or, if problems occur that you feel compelled to clear up, this is a sign that you have an unresolved issue with this individual from the past. It is valuable to invest time to heal differences or disagreements. Mars in Sagittarius from October 6 to November 16 will give you the energy to accomplish altruistic goals. A New Moon eclipse on November 13 will bring you wisdom through a dream. A Full Moon eclipse on November 28 will earn you an introduction to a very exotic person. This person will not remain in your life for long – but he or she will make a deep impression.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
You will discover hidden strength within yourself during the Fall season under the influence of powerful Pluto in Capricorn. The discovery of your inner resources will come in stages beginning on September 18th. You will discover your inner power developing by May 2013. It will be important for you to take greater responsibility, think strategically, and assume a leadership role. If you shirk the task, someone else is likely to take over, and manage matters in a way that may not be pleasing to you. Greater responsibility gives you greater power and authority to make decisions that will have a positive impact upon yourself and others. Seize the day and display your courage when the opportunity comes your way. Karmic Saturn, your planetary ruler, enters Scorpio on October 5 – for the first time since 1985. Think back to 1985 to discover where your current challenges and lessons will lie. You are resolving on a higher level issues that were last active in your life nearly 3 decades ago. You have the power to get to the root of any trial and make appropriate corrections so you may go forward on a more solid foundation. By going back and starting over if necessary, you will have a more stable structure for the rest of your life. A New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on November 13 will show you the side of a friend that had previously been hidden. A Full Moon Eclipse on November 28 will demonstrate the benefits of a streamlined dietary regime.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
Information you hear will be either enlightening or bewildering under the ongoing influence of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. No matter what your reaction, expect unexpected insights that will change the direction of your life. You will gain new awareness through conversations with friends, electronic media, or a dawning awareness from within yourself. No matter the source, take a deep breath, mentally gain your equilibrium, get some perspective, and implement objective solutions. Even though you tend to play the role of an impartial observer, the Autumn Equinox will expose you to conditions that will challenge your impartiality. Even when you find yourself internally choosing sides, deep reservoirs of power within you will help you maintain your balance and objectivity. Karmic Saturn enters Scorpio on October 5, for the first time since 1985. This celestial transit will enable you to let go of excess in your life – whether it be an excess of material goods in your closets, too many emails in your in-box, or a bad habit that keeps you attached to something or someone that is not good for you. This is a time to streamline so you will discover what is truly essential. A New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on November 13 will bring you into the public eye. A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on November 28 will bring you into contact with a long-lost friend.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
You will express your creative energies at the most subtle level under the ethereal influence of Neptune, your planetary ruler, in Pisces until 2026. You have just passed the midpoint of your birthday cycle, and will complete projects you initiated as far back as your last birthday. The drive to connect with others and creatively articulate your ideas will intensify throughout the year. Creatively express your passion in ways that feel comfortable to you, whether this be artistically, emotionally, romantically or professionally. Be mindful of your intuitive impressions at this time and follow the impulses that guide you. The influence of Neptune in Pisces will heighten your intuition. Become calm and listen to your inner wisdom so you will be guided to proper action. A series of eclipses in November may lead you to question your intuition and opt for concrete data in lieu of what you feel. Trust your intuition. The impressions that naturally flow to you contain wisdom you would be wise to follow. Karmic Saturn in the compatible water sign of Scorpio from October 5, 2012 to September 17, 2015, will help you to manifest the fruits of your internal awareness in a concrete way. This could mean that you will teach a class, write a book, or create a blog that exposes others to the expansive insights that filter through your awareness. A New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on November 13th will help you integrate a complex but essential spiritual philosophy into your consciousness. A Full Moon Eclipse on November 28 will heighten your awareness of ways you can make a contribution to the world around you. It is time to bring your precious spiritual insights to a larger audience.
