God’s Fingerprints

When you’re going through a rough patch, it’s easy to feel alone, abandoned, and scared of what lies ahead. And yet, if you believe that you are one with God, that you co-create whatever comes into your life, and that everything happens for a reason, then it follows that hardships are nothing more than course corrections on your spiritual path. It may take some time and distance, but if you look closely enough you will see God’s fingerprints everywhere.

Granted, this may be difficult to do in the midst of an emotional maelstrom. Still, the instant you unplug from reacting out of pure emotion and begin objectively observing a situation, your fears and anxieties loosen their death grip and you start to reclaim your mental clarity.

The following quote never fails to make me smile.

We turn to God for help when our foundations are shaking, only to learn that it is God who is shaking them.
Charles C. West

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.

Order it at GodIsLogical.com.

In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.

SiSe_fullcover_final.inddPhil is also the author of Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything, a collection of 45 inspiring, life-changing stories from prominent authors and thought leaders he interviewed. The roster of storytellers includes Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Larry Dossey, Rachel Naomi Remen, Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Christiane Northrup. Sixty Seconds has been translated into four languages: Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. 1. Deb Reilly Says:

There is a man I respect who lost his faith in God because of all the suffering in the world. Natural disasters, disease, and cruelty, he reasons, would not exist if God did. I pray for this guy’s eyes to open.

The most painful times in my life have brought me the most growth. While it’s going on? Yes, I can be a crybaby. “What will I do? OMG!” When the pain subsides, I am always astounded at what I’ve been given.

God is always with us, loving us perfectly, guiding us through.

  2. Phil Bolsta Says:

Agreed. I remember being at a Caroline Myss seminar years ago. A man stood up and asked how she can talk about spiritual principles like this when people are starving all over the world. Very gently, she said, “I don’t mean to offend you, but that’s a spiritually immature attitude.” She went on to explain about karma, sacred contracts, free will and the like. The deepest lessons take time to absorb, and it’s easy to pull any spiritual principle out of context and ridicule it as if that idea alone should explain all the world’s mysteries. Oh, were it to be that simple!
