It’s Reiki Time!

remotely-sending-reiki-energyThat remarkable day in my Reiki Two class when I successfully sent and received energy, the teacher casually mentioned something that sounded both very outrageous and very cool. She said that because divine energy operates beyond the constraints of space and time, we could remotely send Reiki energy to people back in, say, 1948 . . . or to someone five minutes or five years from now. So if a friend was having difficulty healing from a physical or emotional trauma, we could send loving energy to them at the time that they were actually experiencing the crisis, which would retroactively aid in their healing process.

On one hand, did I mention how outrageous a concept that is? On the other hand, the complex web of divine energy that we call the universe is referred to in quantum physics as the unified field. Deepak Chopra describes this conscious energy field as “literally an expression of the mind of God.”

I’ve also repeatedly come across the concept that time is an illusion, a man-made construct. This hypothesis, increasingly embraced by theoretical physicists, holds that there is no past or future. There is only now, the present moment, which serves as the portal to infinity. Everything that has happened, everything that ever will happen, is happening now.

Okay, now my brain hurts. Excuse me while I send some Reiki energy to the person I was when I started typing this post.

Ah, much better. Thanks, me!

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.

In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.

SiSe_fullcover_final.inddPhil is also the author of Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything, a collection of 45 inspiring, life-changing stories from prominent authors and thought leaders he interviewed. The roster of storytellers includes Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Larry Dossey, Rachel Naomi Remen, Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Christiane Northrup. Sixty Seconds has been translated into four languages: Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. yes, it is an outrageous concept but new scientific discoveries show that indeed there is such a thing as quantum physics and the connection of everything in the universe…so i could be that time is truly an illusion because all is one… ahh…there is much more in life that we don’t know but are beginning to be aware of…

  2. Phil Bolsta Says:

Yes, it is indeed an exciting time, jopet!

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands, but seeing with new eyes.

  3. Alice Says:

As a Reiki Master (yet not a Master of Reiki) I have found there is incredible healing power in sending Reiki to the past in order to facilitate healing from the event that caused the trauma. I’ve also sent Reiki to the future to open doors of opportunity and encourage confidence and clarity for those upcoming tests and interview situations. It works.

I can’t wrap my mind around the intricacies of quantum physics, and thinking about it can sometimes hurt my pea brain so I do better when I let my experience be my teacher. Hearing from those I send healing to, and feeling the effects for myself, is all I need. Science will catch up.

Thanks so much for this post. Love your work.

  4. Phil Bolsta Says:

Thanks so much, Alice. I’m glad to hear that sending energy to the past or future is an accepted process that really works. I can imagine that it would help bring peace and healing to someone struggling with a past event, or calm someone who was going to a job interview or facing a difficult situation.

Thank you for being a force for good in the world!

  5. Alun Says:

An interesting post, Phil…. I, like you, was a bit blown away by the fact that reiki could be sent back and forwards in time (as it were). Initially I thought it was a load of b**llocks! LOL (‘scuse language!) but now I know that it transcends time and space as, you say, time is a human concept that helps us manage our lives more effectively. But the mindblowing thing (which you also mentioned) is that everything happens at the same time – which is a paradox in itself! Gotta love the Universe for providing us with these things to discuss and experience!

  6. Phil Bolsta Says:

Agreed! Thanks for your insights, Alun!

  7. AllanSweeney Says:

When the futures of the past become the pasts of the future, anything is possible in the present!

But it’s all quite simple really, if you accept the theory that everything is in the present. Then of course we are never healing the past or future anyway, only now!

  8. Phil Bolsta Says:

Yes, I know it’s simple, but it still makes my head hurt sometimes! Thanks, Allan!

  9. Unity Says:

I have found many times over the years since I became a Reiki Master that there really is no such thing as time or distance. It is all relative and is definitly not a barrier when it comes to healing. Regardless of time or space, any one, place or experience can be healed. Spirit and energy is so much more fluid than many people realize and it is freeing to allow those barriers to drop from everyday life. Take a chance and allow the barriers of time and distance to drop and see how you can manipulate time within your own life. Whether it is to get in too many tasks in too short of time or to heal your childhood, past life or future life. The possibilities are endless! Many blessings, Unity

  10. Phil Bolsta Says:

Agreed! It’s a hard concept to wrap your mind around but it’s quite liberating if you’re able to make the leap! Thanks, Unity!
