Every Request Can Bring You Closer to Enlightenment

The law of attraction states that the more you believe in, think about, visualize, and feel the manifestation of your desire, the more you subtly reconfigure yourself energetically. Through your thoughts, words, and actions, you consciously, subconsciously, and unconsciously become a living magnet, growing more powerful by the day.

When the bull’s-eye becomes as big in your mind as an elephant, you are sure to hit it.
Alejandro Jodorowsky

Inevitably, through sheer force of will you reach critical mass, at which point the object of your desire—or opportunities designed to deliver the essence of what you desire—cannot help but show up in your life.

No matter what the outcome, every request can bring you that much closer to enlightenment. First, if the essence of what you desire is fulfilled, that brings you closer to peace, which brings you closer to God. Second, if you do manifest your desire, the realization that material pleasures by themselves do not provide complete and lasting happiness may eventually disillusion you, sparking a quest for deeper meaning and purpose.

What you possess in the world will be found at the day of your death to belong to someone else. But what you are will be yours forever.
Henry Van Dyke

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.

Order it at GodIsLogical.com.

In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.

sixty-seconds-coverPhil is also the author of Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything, a collection of 45 inspiring, life-changing stories from prominent authors and thought leaders he interviewed. The roster of storytellers includes Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Larry Dossey, Rachel Naomi Remen, Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Christiane Northrup. Sixty Seconds has been translated into four languages: Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Reading this book is like spending a few minutes face to face with each of the contributors and listening to their personal stories.

  1. Green Monk Says:

I think that is the key. The spiritual goal should really be the goal..the attraction. Material desires do not provide fulfillment….only the desire for yet more.

  2. Phil Bolsta Says:

Agreed, Green Monk. No matter what happens, we can use for advancement if only we make an effort to do so.

  3. ArrVee Says:

even if the request is not “granted”, with even one’s mustard seed of faith, one makes the leap that something better is granted, or will be granted in His Time.

when we are able to recognize that something better has been granted to us, the experience humbles us and guides us on what to ask for and how to ask, in our future requests.

when we are able to recognize that our request is granted in His Time, this helps us appreciate that the things of real value are not measurable by our earthly plane of existence, even by what we perceive as Time.

being persistent also gives an opportunity for that mustard seed of faith to grow.

  4. Phil Bolsta Says:

Yep, it’s all in how we choose to perceive what comes to us, ArrVee. The choice is always ours. And when we open our eyes, it’s amazing how much there is to see.
