AUTUMN EQUINOX UPDATE
The Autumn Equinox, the day when the light of day is equal to the dark of night, arrives on Monday, September 22.
We are entering a period when the dark of night will overtake the light of day, symbolizing our ability at this time of year to shine the light of awareness on our thoughts and feelings that dwell in the shadows of our minds.
The power of the changing angle of the Sun at the Autumn Equinox also intensifies the potency of your prayers and affirmations at the change of seasons. You can make much spiritual progress during this period. Visualize light coming into any darkness in your life or in the lives of others. Imagine positive outcomes that are in the highest good of all. Pray for divine assistance in all you do—and for greater peace and harmony across the globe.
The highlight of the Fall Season is a positive alignment of lucky Jupiter in Leo and revolutionary Uranus in Aries on Thursday, September 25. Expect to make more changes, ultimately of a positive nature … at an accelerating pace. We are learning to let go of the past and to release expectations that life will return to “normal.” We are not going back to the past, but instead, we are entering a bright new age.
Unfortunately, vestiges of the old way, of the old paradigm of military, financial, psychological or physical domination by a select few, are getting stronger as consciousness rises up to meet these forces. We are preparing to clear away inequalities from the past to make space for a more egalitarian society.
The democratization of information is just one manifestation of the new paradigm, which includes greater availability of the world’s resources to all. Yet, as we go through a massive purification before we break through to an era of greater positivity, there will be a period when shared global commodities such as clean air, water, and fuel will become more scarce before people realize we all benefit if we share resources with each other.
The health of one area of the planet will support the growth of other areas of the planet. We will not be better off if we take from “them” or bomb “them.” We will all suffer from the misfortunes of others. We will learn the benefits of banding together and sharing resources as a means of sustaining us all. In the meantime, individuals’ withdrawal into their personal electronics devices and gadgets is another way for the individual to solidify him- or herself to prepare for a time of greater surrender to the whole.
A Lunar Eclipse on Wednesday, October 8 (Full Moon in Aries) and a Solar Eclipse on Thursday, October 23 (New Moon in Scorpio) will bring about chance encounters and experimentation with new ways of relating. The Total Eclipse of the Moon on Thursday, October 8, will be visible in the U.S., Asia, Australia, and Eastern Europe. Areas of greatest eclipse visibility will be most affected by the re-alignment of attitudes caused by the eclipse.
A partial eclipse of the Sun on Thursday, October 22, will be visible to much of North America and East Asia. This eclipse will obscure the truth and delay true revelations until the Full Moon two weeks later on Thursday, November 6. You will gain greater clarity about the future course of events at this time.
The eclipses also will trigger your ability to resolve on a more advanced level events that last occurred during the fall of 1995. Think back to that time to decide what you might do differently—and better. During that time, ten people were convicted of the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing, O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of a double murder, and 800,000 black men marched on Washington, D.C. in the Million Man March. Israel also began its pull-out from the West Bank, freeing hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
Expect more unrest in the Middle East until those who have been oppressed find their way to embody more enlightened—and more peaceful—ways of living with those of diverse religious values and cultures.
Mercury is retrograde from Saturday, October 4 to Saturday, October 25. During this period, rest, renew, and rejuvenate. Then, review and reevaluate actions and activities from the past, and prepare to rectify out-of-balance situations after Saturday, October 25.
The Fall Season reaches a crescendo on Monday, December 15, when Uranus and Pluto form the sixth of seven square-angle line-ups in the heavens. This is a rare and history-making series of astrological alignments that began in 2012 and completes in March 2015. This planetary pattern is responsible for the rapid pace of transformations across the globe that are moving us to an era of higher consciousness, despite appearances to the contrary.
Negative events that are sweeping the globe are vestiges of old, outmoded ways of thinking and acting. The failure of these old models to succeed will lead to new and more evolved solutions and ways of being. Resistance to the changes will delay our collective ability to embrace the new—which creates the kinds of complexities we are now witnessing.
Please also note that along with the powerful planetary alignments in the coming months will be an accompanying release of negative thoughts and energy from yourself and the people around you (contributing to a climate of even greater upheaval, but ultimately positive change).
A plethora of solar flares also is charging earth’s atmosphere. Governmental weather modification programs (also called geo-engineering) also are altering earth’s atmosphere and contributing to the sense of disturbance. All of these factors create a domino effect that will foster exponential levels of turbulence, but ultimately will lead to positive change and growth.
While chaotic situations may continue, it is a law of physics that the greatest order comes from the greatest disorder. So, we are on our way to a higher order, and are simply passing through a tumultuous period along the way.
In the meantime, our internal muscles are becoming stronger as we learn each day to wrestle with the challenges engendered by our collective and individual karma.
Even amidst formidable planetary alignments, solar flares, and the release of negative energies, thoughts and past patterns, know that you are being guided and protected as you learn your lessons, surmount challenges and grow in this period of accelerated evolution and change.

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
The magnanimous energy of the Sun in Libra until October 23 and loving Venus in Libra from September 29 to October 23, will give you plenty of energy to focus on the relationships that are important to you. Your planetary ruler, Mars, in the spiritual sign of Sagittarius until October 26, also will confer much spiritual progress when you make an effort to give to others the consideration you would like to receive. The Full Moon in Aries at the Lunar Eclipse on October 8 will help you gracefully re-negotiate a delicate situation. New and positive people with creative ideas will enter your life immediately upon bringing peace to a previously tense situation. The passage of energetic Mars through the hard-working sign of Capricorn from October 26 to December 4, will give you plenty of energy to accomplish beneficial career goals. Mars in Aquarius from December 4 to January 12, 2015, will expand your social circle.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
A New Moon Solar Eclipse in your opposing sign of Scorpio on October 23 will help you let go of a relationship upon which you have been overly dependent or which has not been working for you. Consequently, you will reconnect with a deeper part of yourself and reestablish a relationship with the more essential goals you value. Try not to dig in your heels if you encounter resistance from people or circumstances when you are trying to move forward. Resistance indicates that something is mis-aligned. You have the best of intentions. But your greatest lessons at this time come from mastering the art of letting go. You will realize that when you let go of the old, you will have space to welcome in the new. That which is new will be more beneficial for you and more appropriate as you evolve to a higher level of consciousness.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 21)
Your planetary ruler, communicative Mercury, orbits the Sun more slowly than does the earth, during Mercury Retrograde from October 4 to October 25. During this period, you may feel as if your mental faculties are moving more slowly than normal. When you have this experience, it is a signal that you need to relax and spend more time focusing on the past. Allow your mind to drift to your past history and see if there are ways that you can rectify events that have previously unfolded, either through positive thoughts or actions. You have a unique opportunity in this 3-week period to resolve past deeds, catch up on old projects, and reset your course so you may stay on track in the future. A Lunar Eclipse on October 8 will heighten your creativity. A Solar Eclipse on October 23 will force you to make a compromise that will transform your life. Mars in your opposing sign of Sagittarius until October 26 will bring idealistic people into your sphere of influence. Listen to their input and integrate their ideas with your own vision for your future.
CANCER (June 22 – July 22)
A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on October 8 will initially cause you to question a traditional attitude or decision. But a subsequent New Moon Solar Eclipse on October 23 will give you the information and confidence to strike an internal balance that will blend your traditional beliefs with a new idea. The answer does not lie in either the old or the new, but rather, can be found in a synthesis of tradition with innovation. Continue to honor the past, but also understand the value of growth and evolution. Your task is to strike a compromise between the two. Saturn in the compatible water sign of Scorpio during the fall season will help you create stable circumstances as you consider whether to make a number of compromises. The continuing alignment between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn will help you to get in touch with deep and powerful resources within yourself. You may face more than the usual number of challenges — but they are helping you grow!
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
Lucky Jupiter in Leo will support your positive endeavors when Jupiter aligns with innovative Uranus in Aries on September 25. This planetary alignment will continue to exert a positive influence on your efforts to make constructive changes throughout the fall season. Additionally, the Sun in Libra until October 23 will heighten your awareness of the needs of the people close to you. Pay particular attention to the messages they convey through non-verbal communication. Sometimes, actions speak louder than words. There is a message someone is trying to transmit to you through subtle facial expressions and body language. Take into consideration these subtle hints. The Sun in Scorpio from October 23 to November 22 will raise your awareness of a disconnection between your deep desire for comfort and the way you have structured your home. Something is in need of improvement, movement, or renovation to fulfill your need for comfortable surroundings. A Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on October 23 will inspire you to make an unforeseen change. The Sun in Sagittarius from November 22 to December 21 will strengthen your resolve to follow through with your good ideas.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
Mercury retrograde from October 4 to 25 will give you an opportunity to relax and re-focus on the issues that are important to you. You have many ideas brewing in your head that you have not yet had time to implement. Your creative notions will have their best chance of manifesting in late October and early November. A series of eclipses on October 8 and 23 may alter your plans, but do not give up. The best results will come when you improvise in ways you did not expect. Spontaneity is the key. Keep an open mind and loving heart in the face of disruptions. Your sincerity and warmth will bring you positive outcomes. Your financial picture looks bright during the fall season. But you will discover through a series of heart-opening experiences that a peaceful, harmonious inner life is more attractive to you than the financial stability you previously were seeking. The continuing alignment between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn will help you to get in touch with deep and powerful resources within yourself. By doing old things in new ways, you will access deep layers of your creativity.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 23)
You are entering a positive 52-day period that begins on your birthday. Enjoy the resurgence of new energy. Lucky Jupiter in the fiery sign of Leo makes a positive angle to revolutionary Uranus in your opposing sign of Aries on September 25. An innovative and creative individual will cross your path under this celestial influence. This person may challenge a previously-held, traditional attitude. Your natural diplomatic skills will enable you to relate easily to this person so you may glean the best from their inspired challenges to your status quo. You will re-calibrate and re-balance at a higher state of equilibrium as a result of any tests. Loving Venus in Libra from September 29 to October 23 will strengthen the harmonious ambiance around you in the face of any challenges or changes. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on October 8 may catalyze an unexpected course correction due to a chance meeting. You will regain your internal balance within one month, at the Full Moon on November 6. SCORPIO (October 24 – November 21)
The Sun and loving Venus enter Scorpio on October 23, along with a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, on the same day. These celestial events will initiate a powerful time for you to exert your will in a situation that has reached a stalemate. Make sure to choose your course of action carefully because you wield more influence over others than you are aware of. You are motivated by opportunities to make sweeping transformations in the lives of the people you care about. The energies engendered by the concentration of energy in Scorpio in late October will lay the foundation for you to make big changes. Enjoy the resurgence of power, make sure to use this time to express your authentic self, and ensure your movements will bring the highest good to all concerned! The continuing alignment between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn will help you discover the power you convey through written, verbal — and non-verbal — communications.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
Your planetary ruler, Jupiter, in the compatible fire sign of Leo, will enhance your luck when you assume a moderate level of risk. An alignment of lucky Jupiter with revolutionary Uranus on September 25 will open the way for new opportunities and radical changes. Wait until September 26 before making definitive decisions or plans. Think about the direction you would like to go, and focus your naturally ambitious energies on the goal you would like to achieve. This is the time to let go of the past and create a new and more stable foundation for your future. Venus in Capricorn beginning on December 10 will attract many supportive people to you. An alignment of lucky Jupiter with innovative Uranus on September 25 will inspire you to initiate something new and successful during the fall season. The continuing alignment between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn will help you express sentiments you have long held inside. It’s time to let others know how you feel. This will empower you to act on your own behalf!
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
Lucky Jupiter in your opposing sign of Leo will bring fortunate people into your circle of acquaintances during the fall season. An alignment of lucky Jupiter and Uranus on September 25 will inspire you to explore a new direction with a new group of people. A celestial line-up of loving Venus and Uranus on October 11 will help you refine your idea and focus upon the individuals who will be key to your plans. Eclipses on October 8 and October 23 will open the way for you to continue to experiment with various aspects of your newly conceived plans. Energetic Mars and Uranus will align on November 12 to give you energy to move forward with the positive changes you have been contemplating. It is time to lay the foundation for a new chapter of your life.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
You may feel as if you are sitting on the sidelines waiting for a new opportunity to arise as Neptune, your planetary ruler, moves through its retrograde phase during the first half of the fall season. You have keen intuition and are currently receiving premonitions about the next stage of your life. Listen carefully to your inner voices and visualize your next move in your mind. You are not quite ready to take the next step, but by aligning your thoughts in advance, you will be prepared when the proper opportunity comes. Deploy your sense of discrimination to determine when is the right moment, what are the right circumstances — and who are the correct people to engage with. A series of eclipses on October 8 and October 23 will bring new people into your life to show you new ways of approaching your plans. It may not always be easy to see the difference between people who are trying to help you and who you will be able to give to you in the future, and those people who are trying to get you to help them without intentions of giving back.
