SPRING EQUINOX UPDATE
The highlight of the Spring season comes at the confluence of the Vernal Equinox (Spring) with a powerful Solar Eclipse in the early morning hours of Friday, March 20. The Spring Equinox brings an opportunity for a new beginning as the growing light of the Sun energizes your positive thoughts, prayers and affirmations. An eclipse of the Sun also brings a shift in consciousness that allows deeper aspirations and intentions to manifest in the world around us.
Pay attention to your thoughts in the coming days as the changing angle of the Sun and the eclipses will surely help bring into manifestation your thoughts and feelings. Remember, light is strongest when it bends, as it does at every change of season. So use the powerful energy of the Sun for positive manifestation as the light intensifies the potency of your energy field.
Another important celestial event occurs on April 4 when a Lunar Eclipse coincides with Good Friday, Passover and Easter. This total eclipse of the Moon will be visible in North and South America, Australia, India and Asia.
Please also note that Mercury, planet of communications, will be retrograde from May 18 to June 11. Please sign important documents and make important choices prior to May 18, or postpone challenging decisions until after June 11. If you have made an important commitment prior to May 18, it is okay to implement your commitment during the retrograde. But please be aware that related decisions made under the retrograde influence will have the potentially confusing retrograde energy mixed in with the original decision.
Mercury retrograde tends to slow communications, scramble commerce and delay travel plans. It helps you slow down and re-consider previous assumptions from a different angle. Mercury retrograde is not a bad time, but it is unlike the normal flow of time. It is a time-outside-of-time. So it is good to relax, reflect, reevaluate and renew. If you were born under a Mercury retrograde, events will flow more smoothly and swiftly under the retrograde influence while everyone else is treading water or moving more slowly than you. During non-retrograde time, Mercury retrograde people provide an alternative perspective and remind others of the benefit of a slower pace. Mercury retrograde happens every four months for three weeks, so about 20 percent of the population is born under Mercury retrograde.
Finally, the Spring season will be a time to pick up the pieces and adjust to a higher reality, engendered by an unusual seven-time line-up of change-oriented Uranus and transformational Pluto. The Uranus-Pluto square began on June 24, 2012. The seventh and last angle between these two powerful planets will form on March 16, 2015. The last times Uranus and Pluto aligned was from 1965 to 1967 and from 1931 to 1934. In both cases, old paradigms were shattered to create new—and higher—ways of living. While the signs of the breakup and unworkability of the old patterns and paradigm are now obvious in our minds, the work of creating a new paradigm is just beginning.
May you be inspired to create a new world filled with greater generosity, compassion, equality, fairness, peace and harmony!
YOUR PERSONAL ASTROLOGICAL STRATEGIES
FOR THE SPRING SEASON
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
The energizing Sun enters the sign of Aries at the Spring Equinox on March 20, 2015. Use the energy of increased sunlight as the springtime days grow longer to focus on completing projects that have been in the works. A Solar Eclipse in the early morning of March 20, 2015, just hours before the Spring Equinox, will re-ignite a subconscious impression that you will choose to act on within the next six months. Consider the root of all impulsive actions to ensure sure you consciously agree with the actions you intend to carry out. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will impart the energy you need to reverse course if you’ve been going in an unnecessary direction. Forethought and strategic thinking will be your best allies under this influence. The New Moon in Aries on April 18, 2015 will help you get a fresh start. The Moon in Aries on May 14, 2015 will help you move this important project to the next step. The Aries Moon on June 10, 2015 will help you make important refinements as you move toward completion. Your new idea will reach fruition under the influence of the Aries Moon on July 8, 2015.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
The passage of energetic Mars through Taurus from March 31 to May 11, 2015, will strengthen your resolve to confront outstanding disharmony. Think about the environment you are living in to discern a situation or a person with whom you may be out of harmony. This is the time to step back, see the big picture, and make adjustments to enable the future course of events to run more smoothly. Loving Venus, your planetary ruler, in the peaceful earth sign of Taurus from March 17 to April 11, 2015 will enable you to find diplomatic and pragmatic solutions. Communicative Mercury in Taurus from April 14 to April 30, 2015 will help you make your point most effectively. A Solar Eclipse on March 20, 2015 will enable you to forgive a friend. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will provide positive energy for organizing your affairs, cleaning closets, discarding things you no longer need, and in general, you will streamline to lighten your burdens.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 21)
The communications planet, Mercury, travels through Gemini from April 30 to July 8, 2015. This extraordinarily long period of Mercury in Gemini includes three weeks of “Mercury retrograde” from May 18 to June 11, 2015. During this retrograde period, you will do best when you focus on completing projects started in the past and on reviewing previous decisions. It’s a good time to relax too. Complete travel plans, business deals and financial investments prior to May 18, 2015. You will resume normal progress after June 11, 2015. Energetic Mars in Gemini from May 11 to June 24, 2015 will give you a lot of energy to focus on physical activities, either work projects in your home, recreational pursuits or athletic events.
CANCER (June 22 – July 22)
You are sensitive to the waxing and waning of the Moon, so you will feel you are at an energetic high under the influence of the Full Moon in Libra on April 4, 2015, the Full Moon in Scorpio on May 3, 2015, and the Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 2, 2015. A total eclipse of the Moon on April 4—visible in North and South America, Australia, India, and Asia—will prompt you to re-evaluate a previous decision about which you had been firm. You will be ready to take action on your new ideas under the influence of energetic Mars in Cancer, from June 24 to August 8, 2015. This celestial transit will enhance your sense of confidence and your optimism. A Solar Eclipse in Pisces on March 20, 2015 will expose you to new ideas. Keep an open mind!
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
The growing light of the sun after the Spring Equinox on March 20, 2015 will boost your spirits and your can-do attitude. Choose a worthy enterprise and apply your considerable energy and enthusiasm. You have a warm personality and thrive in social situations where you can freely interact with others. You also have excellent management, administrative, and dramatic skills. Don’t let other people’s negativity get you down. You have the ability to light up a room and inspire others with your positive energy. If you are motivated to undertake a creative venture, your chances for success are high under the influence of lucky Jupiter in Leo until August 11, 2015. A Solar Eclipse in Pisces on March 20, 2015 will open your heart to someone who needs your assistance. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will temporarily reverse your financial direction.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
You will pass the halfway mark between your last birthday and your next birthday at the Spring Equinox. This is an excellent time to evaluate progress and make course corrections as you move toward your most important goals. You are about to reach a turning point when you must decide whether to continue a pattern you established in the past or choose a new path. While the established pattern may feel safe, you will evolve and mature at a faster rate if you choose a new path. It will be worth the risk to start anew. Your planetary ruler, Mercury, will be retrograde from May 18 to June 11, 2015. Use this time to refine and perfect decisions made in the past. A Solar Eclipse in your opposite sign of Pisces, just hours before the Spring Equinox on March 20, 2015, will help you to see a relationship in a new light. Relationships will go more smoothly when you view situations from the other person’s point of view. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015, will give you the perspective you need to make an important financial decision.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 23)
Your focus will be on new relationships during the Spring season as the Sun moves through your opposing sign of Aries from March 20 to April 20, 2015. With loving Venus in the compatible air sign of Gemini from April 11 to May 7, 2015, and energetic Mars in the compatible air sign of Gemini from May 11 to June 24, 2015, you will have plenty to talk about with people you care about. Keep an open mind and an open heart if anyone presents information that is contrary to your previous assumptions. You will discover a better alternative when you work together with others. A Solar Eclipse on March 20, 2015, just hours before the Spring Equinox, will help you see someone you work with in a new light. Be observant of a change in their behavioral patterns so you may best harmonize with them. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015, will favor diplomatic solutions.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 21)
While Mars, your planetary ruler, travels through Taurus from March 31 to May 11, 2015, you may find yourself in a competitive situation. Try to transcend the urge to best your competition in favor of finding ways to work cooperatively. A little strategic thinking plus diplomacy will go a long way under this celestial influence. Karmic Saturn returns to Scorpio from June 14 to September 17, 2015. This celestial transit will help you make needed adjustments before moving ahead to build more solid foundations for the next chapter of your life. Communicative Mercury in Taurus from April 14 to April 30, 2015 will help you re-examine a situation that has reached a stalemate. You will see the situation from an alternative point of view. A Solar Eclipse on March 20, 2015, just hours before the Spring Equinox, will show you the value of a friend you have overlooked. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will show you a new way to perform an old routine.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
Loving Venus in your opposing sign of Gemini from April 11 to May 7, 2015 will help you attract knowledgeable people who can help you refine and manifest your positive ideas. Keep an open mind—as you always do—to new perspectives. By approaching a problem from a new direction, you will find the balance you have been seeking. Karmic Saturn is in Sagittarius until June 14, 2015, and again from September 17, 2015 to December 20, 2017. This is an auspicious time to align with your soul’s purpose. Think about what you were born to accomplish and what will give you the most meaning. Follow that path. A Solar Eclipse on March 20, 2015 will awaken a creative idea. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will help you find people to put your vision into practice.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
This is a good time to contemplate the direction that will give the greatest meaning to your life. Take a look at the course you are on from the perspective of your soul. All spiritual practices will provide handsome benefits during the Spring season as your planetary ruler, karmic Saturn, travels through Sagittarius until June 14, 2015. While Saturn crosses through the constellation of Scorpio from June 14 to September 17, 2015, be mindful of your finances. After that time, return to your focus on your spiritual life. You will reap many rewards from your efforts to pray, meditate, and think positive thoughts. A Solar Eclipse on March 20, 2015 will help you harmonize with a neighbor. Look at the situation from the other person’s point of view. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will help you organize an area of your home that you have ignored and pushed out of your mind.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
It’s time to put the pieces back together from a situation that has become fragmented in the last year. This could involve a relationship from which you’ve grown apart, a creative project that you have put aside, or a job pursuit that you have stopped pursuing. You have many new insights now that you didn’t have before. You are now ready to re-assemble this aspect of your life. Step back and evaluate a facet of your life that has become disorganized. You are ready to bring a higher level of organization to an area that has been ignored. It is a law of physics that the greatest order comes out of the greatest disorder. Search through those chaotic situations and get ready to bring them to a higher level! A Solar Eclipse on March 20, 2015 will help you find hidden resources that will enable you to move forward, and a Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will spark your imagination.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
You are in a 52-day period of fortunate outcomes that follows your birthday every year. This energy prepares you for a new start. Tune into the currents of energy around you and follow the path that flows toward your higher nature. Neptune, your planetary ruler, in Pisces will help you manifest your innate lyrical and flowing qualities in ways that are advantageous for you. You resonate with a high realm of consciousness. By listening to the currents of energy around you, you will feel yourself swimming toward a higher realm of thinking and feeling that will connect you with your soul—and with your highest good. The 7th and final square of Uranus and Pluto on March 16, 2015, combined with a Solar Eclipse on the last day of Pisces (March 20, 2015), will give you the opportunity to break out of old patterns to explore new facets of yourself. You will discover you have resources of strength, courage, creativity, and depth you were not aware you possessed. Use your discoveries to emanate positive energy and create peace and harmony in the environment around you. A Lunar Eclipse on April 4, 2015 will bring you a new financial perspective.

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.
Order it at GodIsLogical.com.
In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?
Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.
Phil is also the author of Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything, a collection of 45 inspiring, life-changing stories from prominent authors and thought leaders he interviewed. The roster of storytellers includes Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Larry Dossey, Rachel Naomi Remen, Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Christiane Northrup. Sixty Seconds has been translated into four languages: Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Reading this book is like spending a few minutes face to face with each of the contributors and listening to their personal stories.
