AUTUMN EQUINOX UPDATE

The Autumn Equinox, the traditional harvest season, when the light of day equals the dark of night, arrives on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Light is strongest when it bends, as it does at every change of season. So please use the powerful energy of the Sun for positive manifestation of your highest intentions as the light intensifies the potency of your energy field. Remember, your thoughts, prayers and affirmations are very powerful in this equinox season!

The highlight of the fall season is a Total Eclipse of the Moon on September 28, 2015. This Lunar Eclipse will be visible from North and South America, Europe, India, Western Asia and Africa. You will see new perspectives that will facilitate greater agreement among differing parties under its influence. Also expect disrupted weather patterns under the eclipse energy. (Note that extreme heat and sudden rain in drought-ridden California manifested the week after the September 13 solar eclipse and a week before the upcoming September 27-28 lunar eclipse.)

Mercury is retrograde in Libra from September 17 to October 9, 2015. This is a time to relax, renew and reevaluate the past. It also is a good time to revisit issues from the past and bring them to a successful conclusion.

On October 11, 2015, lucky Jupiter aligns with revealing Pluto. You will benefit by searching below the surface for the truth under this influence.

On November 12, 2015, the destiny-defining North Node of the Moon moves from Libra to Virgo until May 9, 2017. You will benefit from a greater focus on Virgoan qualities such as healing, selfless service, increased attention to details and precise, clear thinking. The North Node of the Moon was last in Virgo from 1997 to 1998. Virgo is associated with health and nutrition, so the North Node of the Moon in this sign will heighten the global focus on supplies of food, sustainable agriculture, sources of clean air, food, and water, and global health.

On November 26, 2015, karmic Saturn makes a potent angle with spiritual Neptune. Spiritual practices will bring you plentiful and tangible results.

The Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, arrives on December 22, 2015.

I also want to thank all of you for your well wishes and prayers for my voyage to Italy and Spain this summer. It was a life-transforming journey that took me from the historic cities of Salamanca, Avila and Segovia in Spain, to Assisi, the Rieti Valley, Tuscany and the Dolomites in Italy. My most striking memory is that of exiting a meditation cave of Saint Francis in the mountains south of Assisi, in an area rich with Roman ruins and medieval hilltop villages, feeling transported back many centuries, only to encounter people tapping on smart phones and wearing florescent colors, in contrast to the earthy tones of the hand-carved stone cathedrals, rustic villas and rugged mountainsides. The contrast—and the melding of ages—still stands as a poignant reminder that we are witnessing the dawn of a new era. Yet, as we briskly hurtle toward a new phase of human evolution, it also is important to remember to integrate the sacred traditions of the past with the fast-moving world of technology. We must balance the two to maintain a sense of our own wholeness, and integrate the best of both epochs. It will be increasingly important to find a point of equilibrium between the rush of technology and the slower rhythms of our bodies, our minds and the pulse of nature.

As we evolve to a higher age of consciousness, technology will bring us closer to one another via communications, but we must not become more distant in our hearts. The rapid evolution of technological achievements will continue to accelerate and become increasingly available to everyone, but please don’t let the electronic world separate you from a connection to your own heart and the hearts of others.

We have always known, in a metaphysical sense, that we are all connected. We live this truth as technology compresses the distance between each of us. Yet, some people are withdrawing ever more deeply into their electronic worlds, losing touch with the love and peace in their hearts, which is the strongest organ in the body. So remain mindful that our actions, and the thoughts and feelings in our hearts do affect the hearts of others. And despite the seeming disconnectedness that technology may make us feel, we are ever more energetically connected.

At this time of balance between the light of day and dark of night, it is most fortunate to meditate and contemplate the point of equilibrium in your own life—between the speed of messages and communications—and the slower pace of your heart.

Warm wishes for the Autumn Equinox and many blessings for love and light!

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
The fall season begins with an opportunity for you to manifest an idea you have been contemplating for as long as 19 years. Think strategically. Be cautious about where you apply your efforts. Pay attention to details. Once your course is set, get ready to take action. This is the time to get the ball rolling. The conclusion of Mercury Retrograde on October 9, 2015, combined with positive alignments between energetic Mars and determined Pluto on October 15, 2015, and enthusiastic Jupiter on October 17, 2015, will set the stage for your fiery energy to flow. Mars in your opposing sign of Libra from November 12, 2015 to January 3, 2016 will attract diplomatic people to you to support your efforts. Facilitate honest conversations with them to create the best results.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
Lucky Jupiter in the compatible earth sign of Virgo for the next year (until September 2016) will facilitate your creative expression. Think about unique projects you would like to tackle and begin to experiment. Loving Venus, your planetary ruler, forms a positive alignment with spiritual Neptune on October 16, 2015, opening the way for abundant inspiration to flow to you through your imagination. When Venus conjoins expansive Jupiter on October 25, 2015, you will have further energy to experiment with innovative ideas. And an alignment of Venus with energetic Mars on November 2, 2015 will strengthen your will to express your individuality. Think deeply about who you are, and allow your self-expression to flow from the level of your soul. An important alignment between disciplined Saturn and spiritual Neptune on November 26, 2015 will bring profitable results when you engage in spiritual practice.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 21)
The confluence of Mercury in the loving sign of Libra and the end of Mercury Retrograde on October 9, 2015 will mean that your diplomatic skills are at their peak. Don’t shy away from opportunities to mediate where compromises between diverse groups are needed. You will be at the center of diverse and competing interests, but you also will be the one to find the best solutions. Seize the opportunity to create peace where there was discord. Your planetary ruler, Mercury, will be in the Sign of the Scales until November 1, 2015. Use this time to create peace and harmony in your own mind and in the environment around you. After November 1, 2015, you will have the opportunity to delve deeply into a financial matter to discover what’s going on behind the scenes.

CANCER (June 22 – July 22)
The Full Moon of September 27-28, 2015 is a lunar eclipse that will be visible from North and South America, Europe, India, western Asia, and Africa. This eclipse will help you see new possibilities. You will arrive at creative solutions between the New Moon of October 12, 2015 and the next Full Moon on October 27, 2015. You are sensitive to the waxing and waning cycles of the Moon. For greatest success, initiate projects after the light of the New Moon is visible and before the Full Moon reaches its zenith. Bring outstanding endeavors to closure after the light of the Full Moon begins to diminish and before the light of the New Moon begins to grow. The Full Moon on November 25, 2015, just before Thanksgiving, presents a positive opportunity for spiritual growth. The Full Moon of December features a Cancer Moon, and falls on Christmas Day. This is your day to shine!

LEO (July 23 – August 22)
You will be the center of attention while Venus travels through the Sign of the Lion until October 8, 2015. With Venus in Virgo until November 8, 2015, Mars in Virgo until November 12, 2015, and lucky Jupiter in Virgo until September 2016, this is a good time to pay attention to finances. Rectify imbalances, re-pay debts, and collect what is owed to you. This is a good time to make responsible investments. You can tolerate a small amount of risk at this time, so a lottery or raffle ticket is not out of the question. Financial details will be clearer than usual under this influence. The alignment of Saturn and Neptune on November 26, 2015 also presents a time of spiritual growth for you. Your prayers for positive outcomes will be helpful at this time.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
You will feel in sync with the times as loving Venus travels through Virgo from October 8 to November 8, 2015 and energetic Mars traverses the Sign of the Virgin from September 24 to November 12, 2015. Fortunate Jupiter, which entered Virgo on August 11, 2015, remains in your sign until September 2016. Virgo brings to the fore the qualities of selfless service, healing, cleanliness, perfectionism, and accuracy. The world will favor these qualities during this period. So, offer your insights and assistance wherever needed. Your contributions will be prized at this time. With Mercury moving in direct motion from October 9, 2015 to January 5, 2016, you will accomplish much during the coming months. Focus your generous healing qualities on situations around you when your services are called upon. Once-a-year celestial alignments between loving Venus in Virgo and dreamy Neptune in Pisces on October 16, 2015 and between Venus in Virgo and lucky Jupiter on October 25, 2015 will intensify your charm and attract helpful people to you.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 23)
You will feel as if people understand you and support your altruistic goals under the peaceful influence of Mercury in the diplomatic sign of Libra from August 27 to November 1, 2015. You will hit your stride as groups of people follow your balanced approach. Focus on teaching others your strategies for preserving peace and harmony, and of course, set a good example, as you always do. Loving Venus in Libra from November 8 to December 4, 2015 will heighten others’ awareness of the need for loving kindness and consideration in personal relationships. The passage of energetic Mars through Libra from November 12, 2015 to January 3, 2016 will help you use diplomacy to accomplish outstanding goals.

SCORPIO (October 24 – November 21)
Your planetary ruler, Pluto, aligns with Mars on October 15, 2015, making this a powerful day to achieve your aims. An alignment of Mars with expansive Jupiter on October 17, 2015 will then intensify your efforts to spread your message to a larger group of people. This is time to share your ideas and involve others in supporting the direction you would like to go. The Sun in Scorpio from October 23 to November 22, 2015, combined with Mercury, the communications planet, in Scorpio from November 1 to November 20, 2015, will accentuate your ability to solve a mystery and penetrate to the heart of a previously unclear situation. Use your intense sharpness of focus to understand issues of importance. Let go of matters that involve gossip, jealousy, or the truly private affairs of others. Your penetrating mind has the potential to uncover important information that will transform the lives of others.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
Your sensual nature will be awakened when your planetary ruler, Jupiter, conjoins energetic Mars on October 17, 2015, and loving Venus on October 25, 2015. You will learn to balance your passions with the more sensible side of your nature as karmic Saturn moves through Sagittarius from September 2015 to December 2017. You will develop the determination and strength to find what’s not working in your own nature and make positive course corrections under the influence of Saturn in Sagittarius. An alignment of the Sun and Jupiter on December 14, 2015 will provide a light-hearted interlude. You will experience the joyous side of your nature.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
An alignment of spiritual Neptune with karmic Saturn, your planetary ruler, on November 26, 2015, will usher in a period of deepening spirituality for you. When the Sun conjoins Saturn on November 29, 2015, you will feel a seriousness of purpose and a greater sense of direction. If you are lacking a sense of the greater purpose of your life, slow down and use this time for introspection and reflection. Soul-searching will provide important answers that will guide the next 7 years of your activities. The Full Moon on Christmas Day will bring to fruition a plan that has been percolating in your mind for as long as a year. Enjoy the fruits of your actions.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
An alignment of the Sun with Uranus, your planetary ruler, on October 11, 2015 will help you express and innovative concept you have espoused for a long time. Others will be more receptive than previously to your point of view. Your ideas not only will be accepted, but they will be applauded. If you have been waiting in the shadows, this is the time to come into the light and make your voice heard. Another alignment of Mars with Uranus on December 10, 2015 will give greater momentum to your progressive thoughts. And an alignment of the communications planet Mercury with Uranus on December 20, 2015 will help you disseminate your message to others who share your values.

PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
Alignments of your planetary ruler, Neptune, with Mars on October 6, 2015, with Venus on October 16, 2015, and with the Sun, on October 30, 2015, will heighten your intuition and enable you to see the sharp edges of the world from a more impressionistic viewpoint. With your evolved point of view, you will continue to understand the plight of others in an even more compassionate way. When karmic Saturn aligns with your planetary ruler, Neptune, on November 26, 2015, you will be drawn to spiritual practice. Perform a ritual that is significant to you to signal to your subconscious mind that you are serious about communing with and developing the spiritual side of your nature. You will learn a lot from your inner world, which will give you even more to share with others.

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.

Order it at GodIsLogical.com.

In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.
