The Very Thought of You Makes Me Smile

Imagine this: You retrieve the day’s mail and, among the bills and ads, you find an envelope from someone you actually know. You rip it open and find a note that says, “I don’t know if you realize this but you made a tremendous difference in my life.” or “I don’t think I ever told you how much I admire you.” or “I just wanted to let you know that the very thought of you makes me smile.”

How would reading a note like that make you feel? Yeah, pretty amazing. I’d bet you’d save it and reflect on it from time to time, especially whenever you thought of the person who sent it to you. In short, you’d treasure the note, the person who wrote it, and the memory of how reading it made your day.
