Lori Schneider Climbs Ever Higher!

Lori Schneider

On May 23, 2009, Lori Schneider became the first person in the world with multiple sclerosis to summit Mount Everest. Lori is also the first person with MS to complete the “Seven Summits” by scaling the highest peak on each continent. My first video interview with Lori was in October 2009. Since then, all sorts of exciting things have been happening for Lori, including a feature article in the January 2010 issue of  Guideposts magazine.

Lori’s story is told in great detail in The Promise of Hope, a book by Guideposts‘ Editor-in-Chief Edward Grinnan. I read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Click here to order it for yourself.

Phil’s eBook, The Logic of Living a Spiritual Life: Supporting a Life of Faith Through Logic and Reason, is now available for 99 cents.

Order it at GodIsLogical.com.

In this eBook, you’ll find answers to questions like:
• What is the cornerstone of a spiritual life, and why?
• What is the secret to liberating yourself from other people’s judgments and expectations?
• How do you reconcile the “free will vs. Divine Will” conundrum?
• Why is there an exception to “Everything happens for a reason”?

Those who worship logic instead of God are only half right. Not only is it logical to believe in God and to live a faith-based life, the existence of a loving, benevolent God that governs all creation is perhaps the only systematic worldview that explains every aspect of life.

sixty-seconds-coverPhil is also the author of Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything, a collection of 45 inspiring, life-changing stories from prominent authors and thought leaders he interviewed. The roster of storytellers includes Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss, Larry Dossey, Rachel Naomi Remen, Bernie Siegel, Dean Ornish, and Christiane Northrup. Sixty Seconds has been translated into four languages: Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Reading this book is like spending a few minutes face to face with each of the contributors and listening to their personal stories.

just like Lori said that it was an honor to carry the flag of the hopes and dreams of those who have MS up Everest, so should we know that we all carry the hopes and dreams of Him for each of us, as we tackle our own daunting Everests, and that He is rooting for and counting on each of us.

  2. Phil Bolsta Says:

I always look forward to your take, ArrVee. I like how you extract one idea, shift the context and apply it to life in general. Well done!

  3. ArrVee Says:

it’s my pleasure Phil – He sends these hidden messages and things of beauty through the people and other things around us, and it is up to us to find them. And if I do find them, it is only right to share them with others.
